Useful details to include

• The stock, tools or equipment you track.
• Whether each item has its own identifier or is counted by quantity.
• The locations and people involved in a typical movement.
• Existing labels, scanners, software or spreadsheets.
• Where counts, custody or maintenance records become uncertain.
• A useful first location or item type.

Do not send private staff assignments, sensitive locations, security details or credentials through the public inquiry. A fictional example is enough initially.
